Guest guest
Re: Re: HHV 6, HHV 7, EBV - GH treatment possible Thanks Tom, There is every likelihood that I have 6 & 7. I have had CMV/EBV since November 2000, it was still active in February 2002, and when that was checked again I had Toxoplasmosis. Shortly after the CMV/EBV dx, I got the ME/CFS diagnose (Neurologist). Can you tell me how they give you the ME/CFS diagnose when you have these other active viruses. I am so confused. My doctor hadn't thought to mention it. I learned that I need Hep A and B vaccines. My doctor's assistant had forgotten to give them. I learned that weight gain and moon face and other side effects often come with Prednisone. Nothing from the doctor. I learned that I needed to press for information and treatment about osteoporosis -- my HMO had given me an appointment many months way because the computer had goofed, but moved it up when I inquired. I learned that my fatigue was typical, not just laziness resulting from suddenly not working, as I would have thought. We aren't children. We need all the information we can get. Doctors are usually to busy to inform us of anything not staring them in the face. If we know of potential problems, we can research them and perhaps prevent them. Guest guest
Harper, Knowledge is what we need to arm ourselves in this fight against AIH. Personally, I have learned more from the support group in the weeks since I became aware of it than in the 2 years since my diagnosis. Of course not everything fits, and sure, some of it is scary, but I am learning nevertheless and I have a notebook full of questions to bring along to my next dr appointment. And that is the whole point isn't it? Thank you to all out there who have made time to research and share your findings with us all. Take care all, Sylvia Attachment: vcard [not shown]

Guest guest
Harper, My experience has been exactly as yours. We really must be in control of our own health care, and ask questions of our doctors as new concerns arise! My next question will be about Hep A and B vaccines, as this has not been discussed by my doctor either! I had to ask for a flu shot also! > In a message dated 11/12/02 7:09:51 AM Pacific Standard Time, > @y... writes: > > > > ok this one, what exactly is the part that makes these productive? > > yes most of us will just skim and delete but some people, > > and we KNOW that this happens will see these symptoms and start self > > diagnosing, freaking out. > > i just want to make it clear i strongly disagree with posts of this type. > > this isn't an attack,it's just we need to be aware of how damaging things > > can be. > > > > Amber, it was from this sort of listing on this site (not about Hep C, > however), that I learned I needed to be monitored for glaucoma and cataracts. > My doctor hadn't thought to mention it. Guest guest
, I was told that I had to have the vaccines for Hep A and Hep B by our mutual doctor!!! Go figure that one out! I was given the shots 2 years ago when I was diagnosed. Can't get a flu shot because I am allergic to raw eggs. So I wash my hands a lot! And try to stay far away from anyone who appears to be sick! Guest guest
From what I have gleaned the dark circles can be a manifestation of any intolerance/allergy foodwise or toxin-wise but I have heard of more instances where it is linked with phenols/gluten/casein than anything else. hth Julea ) " Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push - a smile.
