Guest guest
Does anyone know if obsessive compulsive behaviors emerge as a result of too much raising of serotonin levels? Would it also cause giddy and silly behaviors? My daughter (almost 15) was doing super well on TMG last week, but recently has been engaging in some ritualistic and almost OC behaviors like constantly rinsing her mouth. I'm wondering it the 750 mg tablet I've been giving her daily has raised her levels too high? I thought maybe I'd alternate between DMG one day, then TMG and break the TMG in half and see if this helps. Thoughts anyone????

Guest guest
Hi There, I'm new here and have a 15 year old daughter that is going through some of these things as well, giggles/laughs inappropriately and many more symptoms, this started 8-10 months ago, april 2003, i have not put her on anti-pshycotics(i have been fighting it/the school/family doctor and adolescent physchiatrist) they want her on Risperodal or Olanzapine. With all my research i feel very against it. I'm trying alternatives, diet, vitamins, chiropractor and have an appt. next week with a Biological Doctor who is a M.D. but specializes in diet and orthomolecular works. So i am keeping my fingers crossed that something good will come about this. What is TMG and DMG? Guest guest
Dear n, I'm very bad at explaining what different supplements are and how they work. If you type in " TMG and autism " or " DMG and autism " in your search engine the information will help you determine if this will help your daughter. Using a calming amino acid like glycine and introducing DMG, then TMG (the extra methyl raises serotonin level) my daughter's rages and tempertantrums have dropped dramatically very quickly. Her teachers have been reporting great days in school with her attention and focusing improving and also her expressive language. We've been on a roller coaster ride for almost 3 years ever since she hit puberty. Along with Houston enzymes, these two supplements have brought about the most positive changes in and have made me feel that there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Guest guest
In my experience, Yes. My son seems to have things " build up " per say in his system, even microdoses of SSRI's or TMG, urecholine... He gets extremely silly -GA Serotonin levels Does anyone know if obsessive compulsive behaviors emerge as a result of too much raising of serotonin levels? Guest guest
Thanks . The concensus so far seems to be that the TMG dose may be too high for her and is contributing to her new behaviors.
