Hello Everyone,

I don't know if anyone here will have had any experience with this -

but here it goes. I posted several days ago about going on an anti-

candida diet, we are now on day 5 or so. We have been taking a very

potent probiotic (Bio-K+) and have cut out starches, sugar, limited

fruit, etc.

Yesterday I saw some pretty severe reactions in the boys. My younger

son Wyatt had a huge blowout in his diaper, then later a tarry, dark

stool. His eyes got very puffy with dark circles under them about an

hour before this occured.I am assuming this is yeast/bacterial die-

off - I have read about similar syptoms.

However, my older child Zach had the worst asthma attack he has had

in 1 1/2 years last night. He was wheezing and very croupy. He was

feverish all morning. I have not added anything to his diet (only

taken things out) other than the probiotic. Has anyone here had an

experience with asthma and yeast/bacteria die off?

Also, my " gut " feeling on this (no Pun intended!) is that this is in

fact a viral reaction or expulsion. I have often suspected a viral

component for Zach, and I think his body may be cleansing and

detoxifying some lingering virus. I have read that going on a anti-

fungal/bacterial diet can sometimes also detox viruses.

Zach seems to be stabilizing this afternoon, but nights are usually

when his asthma is the worst. If anyone has experience they could

share, or perhaps some links/reading, it would be appreciated.

Best,

Miti
