Musashi make a powder and Thorne make caps, can you get it there? Then I went onto Inhibin2 made by Orthoplex that has quite a few different amino acids. Search 'Inibitory amino acids' and you will get heaps of info. > HTH > Prue > > >
Guest guest
, Please don't be hard on yourself. I know, easier said than done as I am just finishing whipping myself for the yelling, too. It gets overwhelming sometimes. Be good to yourself. Robin

Guest guest
HI Dana- thank you for the messages..I have just printed them and Ill look thru it...my question on the carnosine, where do you get it from? I had Machaela on it for awhile and I was going to try again but its really expensive?? have you found a place with decent prices?? Yes she in on no-phenol...seems to help some but right now it just seems we are at a standstill...Its getting hard to bring her to other peoples houses cuz she trys to push at all the pictures and see if she can get them to swings...she will stop when we tell her but then will just keep going back or go to another one...she really really is hyper and wont sit still..I just feel I am losing my patience with her also, and I feel bad, and I know its winter and she dosent go outside so she gets really really bored..I love her so much and I dont want her to think I only yell at her as this is what I feel lately..Please let me know about the carnosine, I would like to try again..Thanks > > Hi would anyone give me suggestions on some calming amino acids to > > try..and how long should my daughter be on them before I see any > > improvment.. > > > Carnosine worked for my #3. Guest guest
Dear , We started my daughter on glycine about almost a year ago and it has been a God-send. I give her 1 500 mg a day, on an empty stomach (better for absorption). I tried a higher dosage, but it made her giddy and silly. The DMG/TMG you posted about really needs the folic acid/B12 combo to counteract the hyperness. Type in " calming neurotransmitters " into your search engine and the info listed will name all the amino acids and how and what they help. Good luck, (whose hubby always calls me even though it's not my name ) Calming amino acids > Hi would anyone give me suggestions on some calming amino acids to > try..and how long should my daughter be on them before I see any > improvment..DMG/Tmg I had her on a few years ago and she seemed to > get hyper..should I try again now...Also If she is on insitol how > long before there would be an improvment for OCD...I think Im > starting over...the last few weeks have been pretty rough.. > Right now Machaela is on enzymes with each meal, low dose of MG 3-4mg > zinc 2x per day 25mg, of zoloft in the am(trying to help with ocd) > and at night she gets klonidine to help with sleep...She has been > having alot of tantrums when a demand is placed on her..obsessed with > swinging anything she can get her hands on..and just really being bad > and doing things just for reaction it seems...Im afraid for her and > we are all getting frustrated..Her doctor said the next step would be > to try risperdone, but I dont want to, but I dont know what we can > do...I know I have gotten so many suggestions but I really feel I > need to start over..please help... > Thank you > mother of > Machaela 8 years of... > autism and hearing impaired.. > > > > >

Guest guest
Thanks . I didn't know what your posting meant in relation to a young teen who is taking glycine which has helped calm her rages and aggression. My local health food store. > I had Machaela on it for awhile and I was going to try again but its > really expensive?? have you found a place with decent prices?? It was slightly expensive, in my opinion. I think it was $30-35 for a bottle of 60. > Yes she in on no-phenol...seems to help some but right now it just > seems we are at a standstill...Its getting hard to bring her to other > peoples houses cuz she trys to push at all the pictures and see if > she can get them to swings...she will stop when we tell her but then > will just keep going back or go to another one...she really really is > hyper and wont sit still.. No-Fenol did not help my son with luteins, mainly corn and anything orange, red, or green. You might consider removing those and see if it helps Good luck. Guest guest
, Do you take this a preventative measure or as needed?
