Taken from the zone website: " Low density carbohydrates in the form of fruits and vegetables are virtually impossible to overeat. " In other words, eat away of these foods, after your protein and small amt of fat are accounted for. The calories involved in these foods are so small that unless you can eat massive quantities (and you probably can't) you'll do OK. Personally I just " eyeball " my portions as suggested by Sears at the website: a palm sized portion of protein, a small amt of favorable fat and about 2/3 of the plate with low GI carbs. I can't imagine going through life with the exact measurements and calculations to come out with 30/30/40 or whatever. If you " eyeball " according to Sears you should do just fine. Note the recipes at the website for example, many of which are not exact. In view of this I still do not see much difference between Walford and Sears.
