Guest guest
From what I have been told- SSRI's deplete zinc. Zinc helps bladder and bowel " feelings " of needing to go.... Worth a shot to supplement, -GA excessive urination Hi, need help again, Machaela has been on 25mg zoloft for 2 weeks, all of a sudden she has started peeing in her pants mainly at school, yesterday it happened 4x at school and today it just happened again.. has anyone had this experience with zoloft or could it be something else..Im stumped here and I dont know what to do...pls anyone have any ideals? would the zoloft do this??? Zinc helps bladder and bowel " feelings " of needing to go.... , Really?! I don't remember excess urination being directly an SSRI side-effect, but what you describe makes sense. I suppose I didn't know zinc had this effect on bowel 'feelings'. This is a problem my younger son has. But he also is the son that needs the extra minerals (magnesium, potassium, etc). The Brainchild's minerals we use contains zinc so maybe it has helping with the feeling issue along with everything else. .
Guest guest
Hi, I have an update and a question, I added the zinc and this morning she had to be harnessed on the bus, her school just called to let me know and also that she is very hyper and agressive...Is there a form of zinc that is better then the other..she normally is very good on the bus...I want to keep her on the zinc I only gave her about 10mg this morning...and 10 mg last night..should I decrease it further or should I switch the type..Im sick thinking about her having to be harnessed...or would this be a yeast die off... could any of the enzymes be causing this? or would it be the zoloft.. please help any thought??? Thanks so much > From what I have been told- SSRI's deplete zinc. Guest guest
My son had a similiar reaction to Behavior Balance (Food Science of Vermont) His teacher commented on how much he had to go to the bathroom. This was the only thing I had added. It has high doses of B6(P5P) and Methyl B-12. Also DMG, Carnosine, and Betaine. Maybe it was one of these things in your multi? Guest guest
I can't answer to " frequent " urination but recall that my son's urine was dark yellow after he started his multivitamin. We were / are using Dr. Nuebrander's multivitamin. According to my DAN, that is normal. dannenedrummond <dannenedrummond@...> wrote: My friend wanted me to post this question. Guest guest
Could it be due to greater liquid intake? I know that our twins ate/drank MUCH more than they normally did once we began the GFCF diet, it was incredible. Meg > > My friend wanted me to post this question. Guest guest
Make sure there are not symptoms like weight loss, lethargy, a desire for fluids that seems un-naturally high...especially if he has recently been ill with a virus. My brother at age 4 had these symptoms and it meant diabetes. He was sick and then it lead into diabetes. At least that is what the doctor said, I think he is Hg toxic. He has other symptoms. I remember my son doing this too when my second son was born. We actually did a ketone urine test done and it was normal. It was short lived, a few days. I don't remember exactly where we were at in going gfcf but it may have been related like with Meg's twins. Sorry I can't remember more, that was almost 4 years ago. Not likely diabetes but I thought it should be thrown out there, just in case. oregonscrappers <meganrallen@...> wrote: Could it be due to greater liquid intake? Guest guest
Frequent urination is associated with " detoxing " in some way or an impending bladder infection. Her son may be dumping some chemical on his own following the less toxic way of eating and the vitamin supplementation. Just have her keep an eye that he is not getting a UTI infection. As that is another cause for it. But I do know a symptom of mercury poisoining is frequent urination especially at night. I would guess his kidneys are just cleaning house! > My friend wanted me to post this question. Her son has all of a > sudden been having frequent urination. He has not begun chelation > yet. Guest guest
Could also be some sort of diuretic action going on from a drug or dietary intake. The person can check the diet for anything along the lines of habitual items that may be a diuretic. Allergies can cause frequent urination. It's the right time of the year for that in most places.
