Guest guest
Hi Seema Oh my! I guess you didn;t catch that recent series on BBC1 called Bodysnatchers then? 3 x 1 hour prgrammes about parasites and worms - yukkydo! You did the right thing by binning it. Now, about the fish............I would avoid the cod and especially the tuna, oh I hate being the bearer of bad news....... big fish have plenty of time (growing bigger) to absorb Mercury, PCB's, dioxins and all sorts of nasty stuff, the sea is just not clean enough any more Tuna is a BIG fish. Better to get the good stuff like fatty acids and vit a from other sources or high quality certified 'clean' supplements. I know, I know, everytime you turn around, something you thought was healthy just isn't. The fish thing is serious. Little fish have less time to catch the nasties, pity whitebait doesn;t taste so good or make nice looking sandwiches......... Mandi in UK Even our dopey UK government is now warning pregnant mums not to eat fish > god! you wont believe it i was just making cod fish fingers from fresh cod > >fillet it had worm in it inthe body and live as this was pre cleaned > skinned > >cod from sainsbury i can see part of the worm climbing up and done as other > > >half was still inside the body! > is it usual? as we dont eat fish a lot except canned tuna i thought of > replacing it with fresh cod. every thing went into bin could be this worms > in fish > harming our children! or iam just panicking! >
