Here is more information by request about our results with Enzymes:

My Daughter Lora is 17 and was born with Autism.

She was getting very agitated, short temper and kept repeating the same

words and sentences without telling us what was wrong. Then she started

refusing to do work at school, and even hit me and one of her teachers

her last 8 weeks of school this fall 2003. This behavior had been

increasing for the last year really, and we could not pinpoint a single

cause.

When I started the Enzymes over the holiday break she became a whole

different person. Much more calm, able to make better sentences, she was

compliant, she would do what we told her to do, and her OCD repeating or

doing the same things over and over was reduced.

When we forgot to give her an enzyme with a bowl of Cranberry Sauce, she

soon became very upset, crying, and emotional and was cussing, after

about an hour it all went away. We could then see a clear link to her

food and behavior.

Devin Houston is the guy who developed the enzymes and his work was

specific for kids with Autism. His blend, " AFP Peptizyde " , seems to work

far better at breaking down the Casein from Milk and Gluten from Wheat,

the 2 main proteins that many kids with Autism leak un-digested proteins

from their leaky Gut http://osiris.sunderland.ac.uk/autism/gut.htm into

their blood where the Protein Peptides cross into the brain and act like

endomorphin, making them high as if they were taking Morphine

problems are from Phenols that are found in chocolate and fruit

products, they make her face turn red and her skin itch and makes her

feel very angry and irritated. The " No-Fenol " enzymes help but only by

and fruits. We give her the " HN-Zyme Prime " enzyme for legumes: beans

and vegetables.

I first found out about the Enzymes from a mom who formed the

Enzymes group a few years ago

However wanting to be cheap I tried the Generic enzymes from vitamin

companies and then the ones from Kirkman http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/

with no results. So 2 years go by and a mother with a much more severe

case child at our ASCC http://www.autism-ascc.org/ Christmas party told

us how well the Houston Enzymes had worked for him so I decided to try

them and we had these wonderful results.

Some other items of note:

1. The research from Dr Wakefield and molecular pathologist

Professor O'Leary established a possible link between the measles

virus, autism and a related bowel disorder. They found fragments of the

measles virus from the MMR vaccine in the guts of autistic children who

also suffer a rare form of bowel disease.

2. Now scientists at Utah State University have reported finding a

strong association between the MMR vaccine and an autoimmune reaction

which is thought to play a role in autism. The team led by Dr Vijendra

Singh analyzed blood samples from 125 autistic children and 92 children

who did not have autism. Dr Singh, is an acknowledged expert with more

than 20 years experience of immunology research. In 75 of the 125

autistic children they found antibodies showing there had been an

abnormal reaction to the measles component of the MMR vaccine. Nine out

of ten of those children were also positive for antibodies thought to be

involved in autism.

covery More than 90% of the autistic samples which showed an immune

response to MMR were also positive for antibodies thought to be involved

in autism.

These antibodies attack the brain by targeting the basic building blocks

of myelin, the insulating sheath that covers nerve fibers.

3. Parents have found for many of the kids with the Leaky Gut Syndrome

that the Gluten Free Diet helped reduce many of the symptoms.

4. Parents have also found for kids with the Leaky Gut Syndrome that

Enzymes taken with foods helped reduce many of the symptoms by breaking

down the foods properly that used to leak into their blood.

5. It looks as if the responses some kids had with Secretin was the same

thing parents get from the Gluten/Casein Free diets and or using

Enzymes. All three therapy's affect the Gut.
