Guest guest
, I have a daughter thats 5 she just had some tests done through great plains lab. Those were for food allergy, peptide, and organic acid. We have done the stool tests that you mentioned everything always came back O.k. at one point she had blood that was not visible. That worried me so we went to G.I. she would get sick out of both ends for one day about every 2-3 months , and it would end up looking like mucos. Anyways I have heard anytime your child gets antibotics to also ask for a script of nystain because it helps with the yeasts. We are just now starting the diary free, and all the enzymes ,and stuff. I hope anyone would e-mail me with advice All I have done so far is taken her off of dairy. I have have a probotic in the frif also have coconut oil. Waiting for the enzyme in the mail any info I would love!!!! Good luck le
Guest guest
Rusty Hello to all and I have not posted for a while as we have been in a really BIG slump. She has been tapering from 9 (x 2.5mg) MTX per week to 4 so far....she has an appointment with the rheumy the end of the month..she is still on 1000 mg of Naprosyn per day. It is really discouraging. She has lots of pain in the hip and knee region. After 2 scans of the body (bone and MRI and CT) with NO activity....the DX may need to be changed. She will always be + HLA-B27 with active signs from 18 months to 7 years of age...however she is now 5'9 (NO complaints) with daily hip and knee issues. She was playing soccer to keep active and that was REALLY BAD! So maybe another problem wants to be heard? I hesitate to post a picture of her as she is the picture of health positive youth carefree and happiness. I only hope that we can uncover what her problem is now. has a few words for Uncle Rusty. He may not have made you his famous breakfast yet...and he really hopes that he will someday....but pushing the veggies was over the top for him. His views are that if the accompaniment is so obvious that you must sample it separate that perhaps you didn't do your homework?!? A veggie fruit or starch should COMPLIMENT the meal not mark it. Yes this kid is 13 and NO he is not a Emeril fan as Emeril SALTS everything.. like Malto or something like that. celebrates with the hurdles overcome and cries with the ones missed. She recently donated her hair to Locks of Love which makes wigs for kids on chemo (exclusively) at no charge. She is one that always looks for ways to help. This is a major reason why we have not posted in a while. We have only this with no new updates and nothing to offer by way of relief or new direction. With prayers of a less painful 2004 Carol and AS and ? --- car54ol@... Guest guest
I have some good news. Ashton finally kicked a sinus thing without antibiotics. We are so happy!! She started with sinus pain, congestion, and yellow mucus. I waited on calling the doctor. Usually, she will have a full blown infection within a day. It never got worse, and now it is gone. I am amazed!! It looks like the IVIG is helping her fight things now. I am so happy, and so is she. I think she needed a little boost. She is still isn't taking the diagnosis very well. Now that they up'd her to IVIG every two weeks, her levels are better. I am so thankful. L. Guest guest
Hi I had difficulties re-registering last December. I filled in the form correctly, not ticking the bit for nursing. The NMC then contacted me saying I had to do it all again because my form had to include a declaration that I was practising as a nurse. I then rang them because I was annoyed and also concerned about the idea of being able to work in a hospital after 25 years absence, and how unsafe this would be. I was told that it was only a formality, I wouldn’t have to practise as a nurse but I couldn’t re-register unless I said I would….. You’re welcome to add this to your log. I'm more than happy to contribute mine because I already put it all on Senate to get the benefit of your collective advice and support. I got the sense I wasn't alone! Guest guest
Thanks Gill! I believe there will be a way to use this data, ideally before the next NMC Council gets in in the new year. It sounds like there's a muddle at the re-registration office which keeps coming up when we try to renew. Mine was ticked for both nursing and health visiting, because I'd been able to do a senior PCT job which honestly bridged both. But next time, I'll just be a health visitor and will seek the registration which relates to my area of practice. I haven't been a pukka hands-on sick nurse for 31 years, but in the light of my registration, I guess I could pop into my local intensive care unit and seek a post commensurate with my seniority at that stage. Dunno what this means for public protection, but it's nice to feel up to date... . < > From: " Gill Newell " <gill.newell@...> Date sent: Sun, 10 Aug 2008 17:59:37 +0100 Subject: RE: Digest Number 2284 Send reply to: Hi I had difficulties re-registering last December. Guest guest
Hello My re-registration came up in July. I telephoned, and was given lots of misinformation about what counted as up to date practce, and was basically told that I wouldn't be expected to be up to date with hands on nursing, just because I ticked the box. I duly ticked both nursing and health visiting (SCPHN), and within 3 days received notification that my SCPHN registration had lapsed and the nursing one was current. I telephoned again in some distress, and was told it was a computer error; both should be current. It took another telephone call and two weeks for the 'correct' notification to come through (ie, with both current). On 10 Aug 2008, at 18:10, hwood@... wrote:Thanks Gill!
