Guest guest
<<enzymes has dose limit? and how gradual i should have been?>> Seema, don't beat yourself up. Everyone is different, it's really hard to know if it will cause a problem until you start. My oldest son, who seems to have the most gut issues, started at half a cap of each, and in two days I upped him to a whole cap. He never had a problem. My middle son, NT with no obvious gut problems, had a stomach ache with 1/4 capsule for about two weeks. I finally just quit with him, we may start again later. Even 1/2 cap Pep gave me terrible stomach cramps. I had to treat myself with probiotics for awhile, then yogurt and GSE, then start Pep at 1/4 cap for several days and up gradually. I can actually take it in between meals now, with no problem. I still cannot tolerate even the smallest amount of No-Fenol. The enzymes are not causing the problem...it's what's going on in the gut. Give it a few days and start back gradually. If he still has problems, I'd suggest trying a gentle probiotic for a few weeks, try to get stuff a little more balanced in there, then start enzymes again. They are definitely worth it.
