Guest guest
Hi All, It's amazing what you forget or I guess don't use often enough to keep fresh. Last night as I was researching skin (I find this may be one of the last frontiers to Anti-Aging) and I remembered rubbing Extra Virgin Olive Oil into my wife's stomach every morning & night for her two pregnancies. She has NO stretch marks & the delivery room sisters remarked at how soft, supple & elastic her skin was. So I tried a drop on the back of my left hand both last night & this morning. As I write this I do find even after so short a time that my skin seems much smoother & more elastic than the skin on the back of my right hand. If anyone can answer, I have a few questions: What knows effects do monounsaturated fats (like Olive Oil) have on the skin? Why did my wife not get stretch marks? Was it the massage or the oil? What happened to her skin to keep it so soft & supple? Are monosaturated fats well absorbed by the skin? Are they taken up in the membrane of the skin cells? Any other comments? ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg , http://www.ozemail.com.au/~gowatson gowatson@...
Guest guest
I don't really have any answers to your questions, but I find the idea of using olive oil on the skin very interesting. I am one of those people who is always getting scrapes and cuts from various ruckus activities, and use pure Vitamin E Oil to keep the scarring down. It also keeps the scabs softer so they don't crack, being that most of the injuries are on elbows and knees. The injuries that I used the Vitamin E oil on didn't scar as bad as the ones I didn't use it on. I wonder if Olive Oil would work better? Or promote faster healing? --- Greg <gowatson@...> wrote: > Hi All, > > It's amazing what you forget or I guess don't use > often enough to keep fresh. > > Last night as I was researching skin (I find this > may be one of the last frontiers to Anti-Aging) and > I remembered > rubbing Extra Virgin Olive Oil into my wife's > stomach every morning & night for her two > pregnancies.
