Thanks for all your replies everyone. I can't afford to buy all new

mattresses (cotton organic) right now. All of our mattresses are

fairly

new.

We do have a futon, but I don't know what material it is (my

husband likes to cut tags off everything). Are futon mattresses

usually fire retardant

also?

I do have cotton mattress pads on everyone's beds. Does that help

any? What if I were to put a pad on the top of the mattress and one

on the underside of it

also?
