Hi,

I am brand new at this so bear with me!

The more I am reading about zinc defiency (signs etc.) the more I

think my daughter needs to be supplemented. I also suspect she has

too much copper her hair is brown with rust/copper highlights. She

has a very picky, limited diet, I have heard zinc can greatly improve

that. We haven't gotten her hair tested yet. In the HFS I noticed

the diff. forms (chelated zinc etc., liquids). Zinc is in her daily

vit. (currently using Kirkman's Everyday-5 months on it)How much zinc

would she need (she is only 27 lbs.)? Should I start giving it before

we test the hair?

Can someone give me a link about zinc (I'm not trying to be cute)- I

am a little nervous about this process. What would be the pos.

affects of extra zinc? What would be the negative affects? Is there

any supp. that shouldn't be given in conjunction with zinc? Where

should we would get the hair tested (we've prev. done tests at Great

Plains)?

Will this test show specifically which metals are high? Going by a

site I ran across that listed signs/symptoms of heavy metal toxicity

I suspect she is copper/mercury injured.

I have ordered Nuthera (raspberry flavored) instead of the Kirkman.

Does anyone know a better vit. perhaps? The guy at APEX pharmacy

said it didn't have coloring.

Also what site/and or products are the most reputable for chelation

products and info.? I am on the Mercuryautism list so far. I want to

start preparing if we do need to chelate her. I actually found a Dr.

who does it with alot of experience. My nutritionist is joining up

with her and a team of nurses who do testing etc. and create

nutritional care plans for autistic or vacc. injured kids (kind of

like a mini-DAN), I hope this isn't all too good to be true.

Looking forward to responses, we're kind of in a ditch here.

Thanks,

Jen
