, Do you think I should get Allergy A by Twinlab and do high

dosing for a coulple of weeks? Will that help to get the virus out

completely? Should I do any thing else? Thanks,

i am becoming more convinced of the power of vitmain a with good skin

witmain d.

the limitation of oral vitmain d is that because its a pulsed dose

you can only take so much before you run into issues of lowering

blood calcium too much

skin vitmain d makes only say 20% pre vitamin d and the rest is in

slow relase forms that convert back to vitmain d when needed. so at

its best you can i think get 100's of thousands of iu vitamin d that

release back evenly over the weeks .............

so i don't know jow avaliable this is to you given it being winter

and all, but i really would focus vitamin a effort on having good

skin vitamin d as well.

immune respose also depends on having good broad spectrum

mineralisation esp the thyroid minerals and seleniums, i take one

capsule of nutricicology germaium once a week and seems to help with

viral issues but i am really blown away by getting some decent solar

noon sun with ozone doson between 275 and 300..............

i wouldn't do high dosing but think about some regular dosing which

you may already be getting adequately with the cod liver

oil..........i would try to make sure that the cod liver oil had been

molecularly refined to elimniate organic toxins and mercury.

, I use Kirkman's cod liver oil because I was worried about

contamination

also.

Regarding Vit. D from the sun: I live in Illinois (Midwest United

States. Is it possible to get benefits from being outside in the

winter. Sometimes the sun shines, but other times it is cloudy and

overcast. Also, in the winter, we are bundled up when outside, so I

don't know that we can

benefit.

In the summer we were outside alot. And I don't put sunscreen on

my kids. Will that summer exposure carry us through the

winter?

Thanks,

well springfield is about the same latitude as here(tasmania) which

bascially means you only get about a month of decent vitaain d making

sun in the hour around solar noon around the summer solstice(22nd

jume?).

so i guess u will be dependentt on oral vitmain d for a lot of the

year.

i hope you are not in chicago, i was looking at blood lead levels for

children there and about 20% are seriously toxic 10-19mcg/dl

http://www.chicagolead.org/Chicago/ChicagoBloodLeadLevel.html

unreal.

solar noon is when the sun is highest in the sky during the day and

you cna find out what time it is each day by looking up a close city

on

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?

query=springfield+illinois

looks a bit cold there today :o) but the sun is so low that there is

no possible beenfit in it for vitamin d.

, I am about 1 hour away from Chicago. My son never had a

blood test for lead. His hair test from DDI came back in the green

for

lead.

Thanks for all your help. By the way, where is

Tasmania?

3 penguins north of the south pole.

its an island south of melbourne australia and just full of spectrum.

its just a tad cold and not enough sun so will move north i think.

hair tests are a more sensitve indicator for lead than blood .
