Dena,

The reason I asked is that it is my understanding that the testing is not

always accurate. Perhaps things were hiding that did not show. Did the testing

mention parasites or clostridia?

Dena:

My son is 4 - black stools, runny, and super smelly, meant either/or

parasites/bacteria. I say " either/or " because if you've got

parasites, then odds are, you've got some nasty bacteria too.

That's what was going on with my son just a couple of months ago.

Robin,

yes, we had a complete digestive study done at GSDL. It reported no

yeast overgrowth but no good stuff either.

This was my kids when I gave GSE when they did NOT have yeast. Culturelle

worked to get the bms back to normal. Based on other

information I researched at the time, it would appear it was a bad bacteria

problem which the GSE would cause if it was given when

there was no yeast.

used very carefully.

I never had that problem for my kids. If they had yeast, the GSE worked in a

day or maybe as many as 3 days, to eliminate the

yeast. Then I would have to stop, otherwise giving it longer would cause bad

bacteria.

I suppose for some kids tho, if they had both yeast and bacteria at the same

time, giving GSE would kill the yeast at the same time

as aggravating the bacteria. I don't know if my kids ever had that problem tho,

at least not that I can remember.

I have some sitting in front of me right now but I noticed that when

I got it it said that it can't be chewed.....so I assumed it can't

be crush either. Correct? He will not take anything off a spoon or

fork or out of a syringe....so I have to crush or open everything up

into his drinks.

Thanks-Dena
