Guest guest
Hi Listamates, I'm not sure if anyone can provide me with this information, but I thought I'd put it to the list. I was reading an article on Behavior Balance-DMG liquid from FoodScience of Vermont which contains DMG, L-carnosine, vitamin B6, B12, zinc, magnesium, betaine, and folic acid for balancing behavior and improving mental clarity for individuals with autism. The thing that caught my eye was that the article states that DMG is a derivative of the simplest amino acid, glycine. As already takes glycine to help calm her aggression during puberty, would I have to stop the glycine if I decided to try this supplement? The company's website is www.foodscienceofvermont.com if anyone wants to take a look at it. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Guest guest
glycine is quite a common amino acid and i doubt if the quantity taken with dmg would be significant. dmg is an intermediate metabolite and ime will burn out unless only taken intermittanntly. but best in small frequent doses when it is taken. its got a disproportionatly high amount of b6 in. > Hi Listamates, > I'm not sure if anyone can provide me with this information, but I thought I'd put it to the list. Guest guest
Thanks . I wasn't too thrilled with the B6 amount either. That's from Dr. Rimland's original study on how well kids with autism improved with high amounts of B6 and magnesium. My goes loopy with too much vitamin B's especially since she's been on the digestive enzymes for several years. I might just try their regular brand of DMG.
