Guest guest
Anyone try Bio-Zyme (now called Protrypsin) by Metagenics? It's a proteolytic enzyme and I'm wondering why they recommend it be given between meals. Kathy

Kathy, The description I found read: " Bio-Zyme is a proteolytic enzyme formula designed to support tissue health. Bio-Zyme features highly potent, pharmaceutical-grade chymotrypsin and trypsin, which function to help break down the bonds that hold protein molecules together Chymotrypsin 15000 USP Trypsin 10000 USP Raw Pancreas Concentrate 100 mg " So this is a primarily protease product that is meant to do 'healing work' in the body and not primarily for food digestion. Note it says 'to support tissue health'. For non-food digestion use of enzymes, you would take them between meals as indicated here. .
