Guest guest
Dana, I was wondering, what do you think is the best clinical sign that the gut has healed? Poops, behavior,...? Re: No Fenol vs Phenol Assist Question > Hi Maureen, > > I don't have any intention of going off the diet anytime soon either, but I imagine I will want to down the road after gut healing, etc. I had read in the files section of the enzymes site that Peptizide is used by some to go off the diet, that is where I interpreted it as a big gun. Peptizyde digests gluten and casein, so it can be used by many people to leave gfcf. If you want to stay gfcf, you can give Peptizyde for infractions and cross contamination issues. It is also effective for soy. I used Peptizyde while on gfcf for many months, then used it to leave gfcf. No problems. Dana

In my *opinion*, the BEST sign is that the child can eat anything without enzymes, and have no problems short term or long term. Interim " good " signs are bms and behaviors. So if your child is doing very well with bms and behaviors, but still needs a diet or enzymes or yeast control or other intervention, then he is " on his way " to a healed gut, but not there yet.
