Guest guest
hi - i am brand new to this list and I have a couple of questions...My child has been gfcf for a little over a year. Allergy testing did come back with one star for wheat and the rest of the gluten family last year, with 3 for cows milk. We saw a HUGE change removing casein but not anything remarkably different with the removal of gluten. His peptide was high for casein but in normal range for gluten. So, last week we tried a regular bread sandwich with enzymes given with the meal. We did not see anything to out of norm for him, so we did it again a couple of days later. The second day he said his tummy hurt, but he had also swallowed half the pool water that afternoon, so not really sure which it was. Still no behavior issues or anything like that. He is VERY limited to what he will eat and NEVER wants to try anything new, his NT brother was eating a poptart yesterday morning and he asked " can I have one? " HE NEVER ASKS FOR ANYTHING NEW!!! So I let him and he ate it ALL!!! I was excited and scared at the same time. What should I be looking for? Changes and such? Also, should I be doing anything else besides giving him the enzymes at the time he is eating? (I use Kirkman's and open the capsule up into his water - drinks it all no problem). I would really love some advice on this - I am still a little nervous about adding it back. Anyone else done this or am I way off base. Thanks - Bri

My son repsonded well to the CFpart too, but saw little difference in removing gluten. We saw many more improvements with enzyms than we saw with diet (2 years) Which one of Kirkman enzymes are you using? Good luck Mandi in UK
