Now this is interesting........we've just got the Ojibwe tea and Perfect

stool formula a short while ago and it says that the perfect stool formula

is a probiotic but I've never heard it mentioned on here.........anyone used

it in that capacity and what was the consensus ?

Thank you. Are there tests to indicate bacteria, or is it like yeast and you go

off symptoms. I'm afraid I've missed the indicators so far.

My kids don't tolerate probiotics except when they have a bacteria

problem Culturelle works very well. But I can't give Culturelle

unless they have bacteria.

Yup, we use the Perfect Stool Formula, I think it is a great probiotic. But the

reaction to fruits, if that truly is what ph is having, makes it not a good

choice for us right now.

Thanks much. Do you think the wonderful day my son and I had yesterday was due

to the antibiotic? He's taking 200 ml 2x daily for 10 days. Of course I need to

order a new probiotic quickly to introduce as soon as the antibiotic is done.

I only use symptoms, but this lab might have tests listed, which you

can do with this lab or another

We lost it. Today was bad. Not horrible, but not what it has been the prior

couple of days. He was lost to me today. You know, that gaze, where you know

they aren't with you. They reply mechanically, or not at all. I'm so upset. I

actually yelled at him today. I mean yelled. He had made a mess with the

Gatorade in the kitchen, for the third time today. I cleaned it and him up, bit

my tongue and proceeded to take him with me to run errands. He could tell from

my facial expression I wasn't happy, so he started to cry. I said, " ph, no

more messes in the kitchen, okay? " " Are you going to make another mess in the

kitchen? " He said real soft, " yeah " . I said " No, ph the answer is no. " I

proceeded to ask him again and again, him softly repeating " yeah " and me trying

to explain the answer was " no " . By the time he was buckled in the car I was

yelling. And I only noticed because I heard myself in the car. Yesterday, when

he made the exact same mess, I pointed out the correct way to pour, and he said,

" okay mommy, I'm sorry " of course to which I replied it's okay and just an

accident. I'm not taking away the Gatorade or locking the fridge. I'm okay with

the mess, that's how he learns. However, yesterday I showed him once, and he

happily poured a variety of drinks for himself all day long. Today I showed him

twice, and the third time, I guess I'm just sad.

It is very possible.

Yes, and if you notice regression after the 10 days, you will have

your answer to why he is doing so well.

Good luck.

Thank you. Did you yell too? He is in general doing so well, Three years ago I

would have killed for a whole nights sleep, now I'm upset about a days worth of

regression. I'm don't feel guilty now about keeping him up so late the other

night.

Actually he did eat something different. I bought some pistachios, we've been

out for a month or so, he wasn't showing a reaction on his 96 food allergy test,

they don't have salt, and pulling the shells apart is good for improving his

manual dexterity. Could that be it?

Been there, done that, very sad and frustrating. Did anything change

yesterday that you noticed? Like you stopped the antibiotic, or he

ate something different, or you took him to a new place?

It is possible. Nuts are one of the last sensitivities my son has.

Remove them and see what happens.
