Guest guest
Hi -- just wanted to say that yes, IMO, these types of things can help lots of children who are identified with " syndrome's " -- remember, a syndrome is a cluster of symptoms/behaviors and so if it includes some of the same things that are in the autism spectrum, then I would think that some of the treatments would help. And just to try to reassure you a bit-- docs will OFTEN test for Fragile X not because they have a strong suspicion that it IS FraX, but because they feel they need to rule it out. I've worked with countless kids who were tested for FraX and it came back negative. So try not to worry... W > We just drew blood today to check for Fragile X > Syndrome. Guest guest
Hi ... I just wanted to add that I worked with a child (boy) who had FraX and as an elementary aged child, he was very hyper/impulsive. In knowing what I know now, I would bet that he would have been helped by these treatments for autism, because now as an adult, I see him working at the mall in the food court area, and he's very much in control of himself. Kind of like the ADHD kids growing up and being OK for the most part-- my thought is either their intestines do some natural healing as they get older and/or their diet is focused less on the artificial foods... Anyway, just wanted to share that observation with you. Even if it comes back positive for Noah then at least you have all of this knowledge to help you help HIM as he grows. W > Well, I have looked into the website and Noah does > HAVE a lot of those characteristics in his face, ears, > feet, eyes.. so I have a suspesion that it will come > back positive
