Guest guest
I have a 12 year old son with ADHD/NLD. I am just starting on enzymes to see if they will help. Apart from the more typical behaviors, tantrums, low frustration tolerance, he sometimes bites his fingers until they bleed. Has anyone heard of this. Perhaps the enzymes will help him calm down? Am hoping !
Guest guest
Hi, For the finger biting--Have you tried supplementing MAGNESIUM? We put epsom salts in a capsule to give magnesium. Epsom salts baths are good too. My daughter is still biting her nails to the point that it is revolting. However, I read that magnesium is helpful, so I give her the Magnesium when she is biting a lot. It does seem to stop the behavior for a while. Good luck! in Salt Lake City

One of my kids the skin on his fingers will peel and he will chew it off when he has yeast. http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Another of my kids would chew his hands and other objects if he was eating a food/supplement he did not tolerate, or if he had yeast. Enzymes can help with the food issues. For ADHD, consider phenols and No-Fenol. http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm Dana
Guest guest
Zinc stopped this for my son. I give him 20mg per day. I ran out last month for a week. His school was begging me to get him back on the zinc. He bit one teacher on the hand and another on the neck. Got him back on the zinc and he is fine again. It also firmed his stools after 2 years of trying everything for his diahrea. > I have a 12 year old son with ADHD/NLD. I am just starting on > enzymes to see if they will help. Guest guest
There are products for kids who suck their thumbs that taste bad, I wonder if that would deter him from biting himself...I would try getting him to do something with his hands when you see he is upset like squeezing them into a fist. Sometimes if you can give an alternative behavior, the other one will fade away...good luck! Sally
Guest guest
Perhaps one of those stress balls. My daughter has this one called -- the popping Martian Thing. Its weird looking but she looks it A child is like a butterfly in the wind, some fly faster, some fly harder but they all fly the best they can. Each one is different, each one is beautiful and each one is special.
