Guest guest
4 MONTH SUCCESS STORY Hi All, My 5 year old has been on enzymes for 4 months now. We were on the Gluten & Casein free diet for 6 months with no cheating. He was also found to be allergic to almost everything under the sun including corn, soy, rice, allmost all beans, I could on and on. Anyway, to make a long story short, he started to have bad reactions even to the few foods that he wasn't initially allergic to. It was a nightmare. I ended up at 's website which refered the book Enzymes for Autism and other Neurological Conditions by DeFelice. I bought it, read it, and ordered the AFP Peptizyde, Zyme Prime, and No-Fenol. We started with the Pep and Zyme first with just a little no-fenol. Now I remember reading that you should continue with the enzymes for 3 weeks after starting and by then you should know if your child will tolerate them. Well it was a rough start, 3 weeks on the enzymes came and went with speech regression and bad behavior. I decide to keep plugging along hoping and praying and yes pleading with God that this was one of our answers. 5 weeks went by and still no improvement. I decided to stop the enzymes and go back on the diet. We did just that for 2 weeks. I just couldn't accept that they weren't going to work for us and I thought maybe Zach is a special case or maybe it was more die-off than usual, so we decided to try again using all 3 enzymes and so glad we did. I usually don't post but thought I owed it to you all out there who maybe tried for a few weeks and gave up. Anyway, everything is GREAT! Zach still eats some of his diet food approximately 2 days out of the week. I still shop at the health food store and the regular store. Oh, I almost forgot, his speech is not only back to where it was but much better! He's happy and healthy and that makes for a happy household. An added bonus, I'm not sure what happened but Zach decided to poop in the stool and is now completely potty trained. Whew! I can't help but think it had something to do with the No-phenol helping him to become regular. I think that's about it, except a BIG thank you to Devin Houston, DeFelice, and . Without you 3, I would still be spending all of my time in the kitchen, cooking from scratch. Yikes! Regards, Chantai Hess P.S. Born and raised in Oklahoma so please forgive my Country Grammer.haha
