Guest guest
Dave, I would never give my child a Dorito. In fact, i don't give my NT child Doritos. Or Fritos. or potato chips. She will occasionally get a hold of them at birthday parties, and I just let it go. The thing that galls me most about my friend who is a doctor and whose child is autistic is that her child does just as well as mine, even though he exists on junk food and no supplementation at all. However, it is wonderful that this child is doing well. I still can't figure it out. Thanks for the post. Marti

Guest guest
How much better might that child be doing with good support?
Guest guest
I don't know, his mother is convinced the science behind the gfcf is flawed, that his digestion is fine, etc. He's growing, making progress, so that's that. I have to admit, he's doing spectacularly well, although he only eats cereal and chicken nuggets and chocolate in various combinations with flour and sugar. My son looks like a weed by comparison and toe-walks everwhere (have started B-1 for that, also looking into B-12 injections as possibility). They are about even on progress, although in different areas. This little boy has more sensory issues, Nicky has more problems socialising (basically, not motivated). same academically. I love that child, and his mom. It's a good test of our friendship that we go completely in opposite directions in terms of protocol. Anyway, I can hardly tell her what to do when I don't know myself most of the time! She keeps saying she's going to give him the MMR booster but I notice that it has happened yet (thank God). marti

Guest guest
>>> that is you are bascially tolerated because you provide information. and you are doing just fine, andrew. LOL Just keep your Useful Web Link quota up for the month. >>>> the female brain runs on acetylene compared to the male petrol so bascially i walk with fear. Isn't petrol a phenol? Hmmmm. that may explain why so many people tend to be intolerant of male thinking patterns. May explain the immense benefit of No-Fenol, and why many see improved communication skills with No-Fenol. One of the things that this group does is something I will call 'makes progress'. Some groups go round and round the same things all the time without gaining any new knowledge or guidance from the conversation. This is fine if this is what you want to do with your time. But here it seems more bent on actually getting people better, trying to resolve issues, finding a solution, finding new guidelines that everyone can benefit from, etc. And being a positive place in lieu of the chronic negativity and doom that swamps other locales. So if you want to actually get better (or get someone else better), you are most likely in the right spot. Funny, because the trait of being goal or task-oriented is commonly ascribed to males. . P.S. andrew: You will be credited 2 bonus posts for the insight provided in this post.
Guest guest
Hehehe...I have never been called Dave as prey; in the 8th grade, it was usually Dave A** - spray. The cool thing about lists is that it doesn't matter whether people tolerate me or not as long as the moderator doesn't kick me off. You'll find no fear here; along with my ADD comes a nice dose of ODD. I am more worried about survival of males in the real world than on lists, as the amount of synthetic estrogens in pesticides and soy products is seriously depressing sperm counts and causing developmental abnormalities in males everywhere. Fortunatly, that hasn't happened to me on this list. Guest guest
I meant both! I have a nice streak of ODD, and I'm must plain odd too. I once told a judge that I would go to jail before I would pay a $250 fine he tried to add to a ticket I got. (I didn't pay it and I didn't go to jail either) Classic ODD!
