Guest guest
I know Ojibwa Tea does a number on Parasite, bacterial and viral infections, but I'd hate to see your child suffer any longer than he has to. It takes awhile to order the tea, make it, etc. Maybe the tea would be something to consider after this particular problem has been diagnosed. I know Jojo has not had a major spell ( diarrhea, vomiting) for quite some time. But then again he's taking a number of things besides the tea. I wish you lots of luck. There are a lot of really helpful people on this list, but perhaps calling Great Plains Labs. and asking which test they feel might appropriately diagnose you child's problem. I've done that a couple of times. I had to take the results to my son's gastroenterlogist, who insisted upon duplicating the tests, but I figured as long as the bacterial problems were addressed it was alright. what's wrong? Hi listmates, I am thoroughly confused. My son has been taking enzymes for a couple of months. We started with Pep and Zyme, and then added NF. After we started NF, the rash that he had always had became worse. I gave him a course of GSE thinking it was yeast, but after 10 days of GSE the rash has not gotten much better (though the red ring around the anus is not there anymore). I have been giving him ProBioGold for a week and then Culturelle for several days thinking it was bacteria, but the rash is there and even worse, and besides his skin started flaking around eyes. I thought it was a reaction to one of the enzymes and for one day stopped NF - no changes, then did not give him Pep for a day - no changes either. It is apparently something in his intestines because if I give him activated charcoal the rash diminishes, but what in the world can it possibly be? He is eating mostly vegetables (not green and not orange) like cauliflower, asparagus, yellow beans, cabbage, onions, romaine, and also some nuts (almonds, cashew, haselnuts), olive oil, goat yoghurt, sometimes fish and meat. His supplements are: vit.C, calcium-magnesium-zinc,cod liver oil, vit.E. But they are probably not the cause of the rash: once I stopped his vits for a week - no changes either, the rash did not become any better. Any advice is welcome! Thanks a lot in advance! Stopping for one day probably won't tell you much. You might want to consider stopping [or reducing] the NF for a week. It is apparently > something in his intestines because if I give him activated charcoal > the rash diminishes, but what in the world can it possibly be? He is > eating mostly vegetables (not green and not orange) like > cauliflower, asparagus, yellow beans, cabbage, onions, romaine, Well, the asparagus, beans, cabbage, and romaine would appear to qualify as green or orange [yellow]. You can consider removing all these veggies for a few days, see if you notice changes. Dana
Guest guest
Elena, I had an almost identical reaction in my son when begining NF. It took 5-6 days before it went away. I reduced the NF to 1/4-1/2 per meal. Dr. Houston suggested they were toxins. Our rash looked like a red slap, along with several red dots with tiny white heads. :'( One thing I did consider(that I didnt need to try) was a different yeast killer. For instance you may consider rotating GSE, Oil of regano, and the Charcoal. This type of regimen seems to help people that develop intolerances. I havnt been giving enzymes for that long, (i.e- not a great deal of experience) but maybe its worth a try. The other thing to consider: he has become intolerant to a food you have always given him. It gets really frustrating! Mom to le NT (5) and Devon ASD (3) > Hi listmates, > > I am thoroughly confused. My son has been taking enzymes for a > couple of months. Guest guest
Hi Jenn - I still want to call you Izzie! Thanx for replying, I just felt a bit fed up and not part of the group anymore. There are some wonderful people on here from many walks of life and I enjoy talking with them. I used to so enjoy Strength-L and made many friends there. Does anybody know how the lady who ran it is getting on? Sorry to hear your Valentines didn't go as planned, that's life eh? This is the 1st year I have ever done anything remotely romantic. Was a shock to the system! Sue > Tufty - > > Sorry, I didn't respond because my Valentines Day was incredibly > boring. Guest guest
Hey, Sue, and everyone, I also didn't respond b/c Valentine's Day was not a good day this year. One of my college friends was killed on the Wednesday before, and his funeral was the 14th, so I was pretty much in shock all day. Not to mention this nice little sinus infection I've had since Friday....today is the second day in a row I have missed work, which I *hate* having to do. I mean, here I am, this wheelie-chick with a disease, so I have this feeling that people think I am half ready to kick the proverbial bucket at any time anyway, which of course is entirely not true...but I feel weird when I really *am* sick and have to miss work. I guess I feel like I am trying to hold myself to some self-imposed higher standard to prove that I can do this making a living thing! Haha.... Oh well, it helps to be a part of a group of people who understand. Sue, and all the others who do have Valentines now, I am really honestly happy for you. And to the rest of you, I wish you the best in finding yours. I'm still hoping and praying for my man too. :-) Here's to life! As us Suthuhnuhs would say, as we rock on the front porch and drink our mint juleps, I deee-clare, I do be thinkin' we's a-gonna make it, after all! Guest guest
Hi Joy I think spending time with the person you love can be romantic no matter what you're doing. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. My Valentines started on Friday, Rob brought me red roses and a teddybear. Then on the Saturday he gave me a lovely card, another teddybear and a box of chocolates. We went out for a walk and had a meal, then we had a takeaway in the evening, while watching Friday 13th V - a lovely romantic film Sue > My V. day was rather fun. hubby and I went to the > desert, hiking, taking pics and filming. Guest guest
Hi Kendra You sound like my sister's bf, he really doesn't " do " Valentines either, he thinks it's a money making scam. I can understand why people think that way because we shouldn't need to be told when to show our loved ones how much we think of them, but I'm a hopeless romantic and love the whole hearts and flowers stuff. With our relationship being so new it was perfect timing for us. Glad you had a good Saturday anyway. Sue > I don't really think valentine's day is a 'holiday' or anything > special. I heard bits about your house, it sounds amazing! Post loadsa photos when you're in and settled, I love seeing how other people decorate their houses. Have you met any of the neighbours yet? I hope they're all friendly. Thank you for what you said about mine and Rob's photos, we are very happy. It's still our Honeymoon period. Guest guest
Hi Holly Sorry to hear about your friend, that's terrible. I know it doesn't feel like it now but time heals. I'm thinking about you I hope your sinus infection clears up soon and stays off your chest. I know exactly what you mean about feeling you need to try harder to make people think you're just as good an employee as everybody else. I have done that many times (for voluntary work, training courses etc.) when I really should have stayed at home resting. GET WELL SOON HOLLY! Guest guest
Sorry I didn't post, I am just so busy I don't post to anything. I had a good valentines day with my husband, My kids stayed the night over at grandmas so it was nice Kenya What's wrong? Have I done something to offend anybody? I stopped posting a while ago because I felt I was getting the cold shoulder from people because whenever I sent anything I hardly got any replies - only from the friends I had known a long time. I thought I'd try again but only 1 reply. I was really interested to hear what everybody's Valentines Day went but nobody answered. Guest guest
Yes, it is very romantic for new couples. Today was my " valentines day " actually. I received beautiful lilies and the sweetest letter, from my darling far away in Italy. It's been one year since we've " officially " been a couple. I was very surprised he remembered since I don't really take note of such things. We've been on and off for years - scared to ruin our friendship - but it has been a very wonderful and pleasant relationship the past year and has all been worth it. I just can't wait to get all giddy in a few months when the plane lands and we'll be together. We're trying to plan a 2-month getaway, but I'm having troubles jumping through the SSI hoops of being in my county for 29 days of the month. I suppose they don't have to know! We deserve a nice extended vacation together. I wish you and your beau the best of luck and tons of happiness and cheer! =) ~Kendra > > I don't really think valentine's day is a 'holiday' or anything > > special.
