Guest guest
My dad confided to me over the holidays that he is having real problems with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) to the extent that he sometimes has trouble leaving his home. He is a real " traditional medicine " guy - goes to the internist all the time. The internist, of course, gives him whatever prescription med he has samples for. I asked if the internest had ever suggest that he be tested for food allergies or do an elimination diet. The answer, of course, was no. So, I told him about gluten intolerance, enzymes, etc. and sent him home with some Peptizyde. A few days ago, he called to tell me he is really watching his diet (hasn't eliminated gluten but has reduced it). He is now " symptom free " and has ordered some Peptizyde of his own. Wow. I'm so proud of him for giving this a try. It's a big step for him to try something not prescribed by an MD. I am also encouraging him to share this with his MD. Thanks to all who post to this board about enzymes, IBS, etc. Vicki
