Guest guest
I have started getting the rice (!) out of my son's diet. He is on rice T, Th & Sun., gluten MWF, & SCD type stuff on Sat. The reason for this is I'm afraid to give him only one type of grain or " diet " because of developing a new intolerance. If you are using enzymes can you develop an intolerance?????? Like w/him taking Peptizyde with every drip of gluten, how careful do I have to be about that? He is doing GREAT. He has added back casein, eggs (although only in baked things), many high phenol fruits, & gluten, so far just in the form of ceresota flour. The stuff he's still " off " includes corn, soy, food coloring & sugar. This time I didn't go to the Wonder bread store & get pop tarts & Zingers to " challenge " gluten and it's going much better. I'm stunned. I'm still waiting for something awful to happen but it seems to only be bad on the morning after a " rice " day. :[ The only things he clearly can't tolerate besides rice are the SCD muffins (made with ground nuts for flour). He's so much more verbal although, like his sister, appears to have been taking classes in Portugese behind my back. I can't understand either one of them but they suddenly have a LOT to say.
