Guest guest
You could check by getting a bicycle HGH test or ITT test and catrosyn (misspelled) stimulation test. These tests would determine if you have a blunted dynamic hormone response/ HPA-axis (which is a sign of a brain injury). -This may indeed show brain damage is present, but I don't think it proves it. With CFS we are talking about something no one can define and if one could then we would have a cure. Unfortunately, CFS may be caused by all kinds of things for different people and b/c that is the case, perhaps there is something in your body that cannot be found with any test Cheney can run on you and that causes the blunted response you get from a hormone test. Just to give you an example of why you should be more open-minded to this is the following: Muscle testing I did 2.5 weeks ago found I had mercury poisoning in my lymph (I don't have the notes in front of me but I think this was the case). This is the same muscle testing (whether you believe in it or not, and whether it eventually helps me or not remains to be seen so I am perfectly open to it not helping as I am always skeptical about anything helping due to my history of trying things and nothing working) that found heart valve problems in the nurse's autistic son (this nurse is now treating me under the protocol set up by the N.D. who muscle tested me but is living in Orlando so I can't continue to see her). Now, mercury poisoning will not show up in my blood nor in the hair analysis, but muscle testing shows it's in my lymph. If I am able to get rid of this mercury then maybe I can relieve some of my CFS. But the mercury alone is probably not the problem as the muscle testing also showed I had blockages in my adrenals (both outer and inner cortex), parathyroid, thymus, and suffer electrolyte deficiency. If this muscle testing is correct then I have my own set of circumstances that are unique to me and cumulatively cause my CFS. I know I can't prove my point very well using something as theoretical as muscle testing (certainly not a science) but it's a good analogy at least. Anyways, brain damage can't be " proven " by a couple tests any more than this muscle testing " proves " I have wrong with me what the muscle testing shows I have wrong with me. -
Guest guest
Hi all, I have been having stomach problems for the last few days. I have trouble swallowing and also I have stomach cramps, running to bathroom and generally feel crummy. I went to the family doctor and he didn't know what was going on. My liver specialist is kinda far from me. I called and he said to lay off the actigall for a while. Also my itching is driving me crazy. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Anybody else going through this? Rose

The itching could be a symptom of something that needs to be dealt with, and your doctor needs to talk with you about it. Harper
Guest guest
I went through the same thing except having to run to the bathroom. My dr gave me some nexium for the stomach and also levbid for the cramping. Swallowing sometimes is hard but not always. The only time I was itching was when she put me on Vioxx. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Do you know hat sort of exercise they are doing? Guest guest
>>>My 4.6 year old Aspergers DS has been incredibly chewy for the last 7 months, he is putting all sorts of things(especially toys) in his mouth. I added Zinc which I have been giving him for the last 20 days about 30mg every night, but there has been no change in his chewing, his chewing is less at home but more in social situations, also he grinds his teeth all night long. How long does Zinc take to have an effect, has someone actually seen chewing stop with Zinc?<<< My son is also a big time chewer, although it seems to be getting a little better lately. His zinc levels have been tested and are normal. He also gets zinc in his vitamin. Sammy's problem is more of an oral motor issue. He just doesn't have enough awareness (for lack of a better word) of his mouth and mouth positioning for sounds/words, etc. He just seeks more oral input, thus the chewing. We have been taking him for oral motor therapy and they have also been doing more of it at school and it is making a difference. He is definitely chewing less and he actually ate one piece of a meatball and one piece of chicken piccata the other day, which was HUGE for him. Have you ever had your son oral motor skills evaluated for this? For Sammy, it was pretty obvious when you look at his mouth position (usually slightly open mouth). His nutritionist picked up on it while he was sleeping in her office! She is convinced the oral motor therapy will help improve his very picky eating as well. Good luck. Guest guest
, I'm jealous of those white counts...LOL...just kidding :-) WOAH...way to go on the response your daughter gets! We're doing a happy dance if my boys WBC goes into the normal range when they are sick (i.e. 5.0 and we're doing lots of hoops and loops) Pattie > Seems like many kids react differently, and some don't even mount a > predictable white cell response.
