Guest guest
thanks dana, i was considering culturelle or pro bio gold but i wasnt sure which one to go with. also i have a bottle of milk thistle and i gave him one pill one time and he had horrendous diarrhea with what looked like mucous in it. im mean the foulest thing i ever smelled. im thinking maybe one capsule was just too much for him and i should start out a little smaller. kelly
Guest guest
How have you taught your kids to swallow pills? My 5 and 6yo are having a heck of a time swallowing pills and they just won't consume anything I hide. SHort of holding them down and jamming the stuff down their throats what should we do? My 5yr has really bad yeast problems. Her privates are all red , sore and weepy. I bought her some Gaia herbs ie oil of oregano, olive leaf and she just can't seem to swallow the liquid filled capsules. I poured some powdered probiotics on her and she screamed in pain. How do you conceal these oils? Carolyn
Guest guest
im somewhat sorry to say that my 3.5 year old son just seemed to always be easy swallowing pills. he was always one to eat very fast and not chew things completely so i started out by putting the pills in his appleasauce or yogurt and he would feel something in their but he still would swallow. now we have graduated to taking a medicine cap (like the one found on a bottle of childrens motrin) and we put a little liquid in it along with the pill floating in the liquid. i hand it to him and he takes a big gulp. kelly
Guest guest
The GSE is hidden really well by lemonade. Throw in some No-Fenol and let it dissolve, coloring and taste stay the same. Guest guest
You know what is strange. Two of my kids who can make themselves burp over and over and over again have no great problems swallowing pills. My daughter who can't make herself burp has a really hard time. Do you think there is a correlation? > im somewhat sorry to say that my 3.5 year old son just seemed to always be > easy swallowing pills. he was always one to eat very fast and not chew things > completely so i started out by putting the pills in his appleasauce or yogurt > and he would feel something in their but he still would swallow. now we have > graduated to taking a medicine cap (like the one found on a bottle of > childrens motrin) and we put a little liquid in it along with the pill floating > in the > liquid. i hand it to him and he takes a big gulp. > kelly > > >

Guest guest
okay i went to health food store today and got 30mg zinc from zinc picolinate with 2 mg of copper (from copper gluconate, citrate). to be effective does anything need to go along with that. Guest guest
Some friends of mine haven't known this trick, so I guess I'll say it, though you've probably tried it... My son won't put a pill in his 'dry' mouth, but if I have him take a big mouthful of water and pucker up and push the pill in, it slides right down inside the 'pocket' of water as he gulps it down; that way he usually doesn't feel the pill in his throat, doesn't taste it, and it goes down easy. The best way to do this is to remember that the head movement is different for most solid/large pills (throw head back a bit so the weight of the pill helps it go down the mouth and throat faster) than it is for powder filled gel/veg caps (dip chin down, so that the light cap, which may tend to 'float', will move to the back of the throat and be pushed down by the rush of water during the 'gulp'). Of course, my son was motivated to learn to take pills early, since he hated the taste of liquids or chewables... Guest guest
Me, neither... it's experience that does the trick. I had a lot of trouble swallowing pills as a kid myself, and worked out the method for myself! ;-) recess wrote: >oh wow. thank you...a bit of physics there.
