Guest guest
I would think if the ADD/ADHD kids are negatively affected by any foods then the enzymes might help. I bet Devin or can give you more definative answers, though. Debi > Hi, I am wondering if anyone on this list has their kids on the enzymes for ADD or ADHD only. If so, does enzymes help ADD kids? Guest guest
'singing his abc's.' thats actually autistic. adhd just looks like spectrum to me and thats the way i would approach it. chromium gtf can help with brain blood sugar issues which seem to relate to adhd. i'd look at zinc a bit to. Guest guest
Yes, Dr Joan Fallon has much on the subject in her patent and patent applications. She was recently granted an allowance letter for the use of enzymes for ADD and ADHD Rich
Guest guest
-NO, he is not autisitc. The only problem he has is concentration in school. He did learn and do fine in Kindergarden last year, but I noticed that when we do home work, it is very easy for him to be distracted and hard for him to concentrate. I see him having to struggle like my older son did in the first couple of early grades and was hoping the enzymes might help that. There is nothing about this boy that says 'autism'. He does have asthma and has since around 8 months old, when I quit nursing him. He developed RSV. This boy is super bright, the class clown. He has no other health issues. I was just thinking maybe the enzymes might help the asthma, and or attention. -- In , " andrew " <alevin@i...> wrote: > 'singing his abc's.' > > thats actually autistic. > > adhd just looks like spectrum to me and thats the way i would > approach it. > > chromium gtf can help with brain blood sugar issues which seem to > relate to adhd. > > > i'd look at zinc a bit to. Pardon my bluntness..but maybe the work is just boring? maybe he's had enough of working and would rather be doing other more stimulating things?.. Isn't it a normal and quite healthy reaction to become distracted when faced by what we find simply 'not interesting' ? I know i do! As an autonomous home educator ive found that my childrens attention span has increased a huge amount by learning through their interests. With best intentions :-) Debra. > There is nothing about this boy that says 'autism'. He does have > asthma and has since around 8 months old, when I quit nursing him. > He developed RSV. Guest guest
Have you read THE ADHD AUTISM CONNECTION by Diane Kennedy? Very interesting. Here is my take on it: Basically any kind of neurological/developmental/adhd behaviors seem to really respond to autism treatments (biochemical/education) whether or not your child has been diagnosed with autism. The autism community has made great strides compared to all the other diagnosis community in trying to get to the root of the problems. In most other diagnosis, the physicians and community are more focused in just dealing with symptoms. I have found that autistics treatment work really well on kids with other diagnosis such as adhd, tourette's, bipolar etc. SO if enzymes, gfcf/yeast diet or supplementation etc works with autism it definitely can help with the other diagnosis as the treatments for autism gets down to the root of things( improving digestion so all vitamins/minererals from foods are properly absorbed) as opposed to just covering up symptoms. My son's adhd symptoms greatly improved with cod liver oil and enzymes. We are also on the gfcf yeast free diet. His eye blinking has decreased since avoiding chlorine, which encourages yeast growth. He is also on a good multivitamin. My son is 9yrs old and this summer he is able to sit down and learn. Right now this summer he can do six pages of Math 1 Abeka a day. Before we couldn't even get one problem down and he didn't quite understand what he was doing no matter how fun or with a lot of review. He is now able to apply what he is learning to real life activties ie cooking using fractions from what I am presenting. He is also retaining his facts which he is really happy about as he really wants to play Pokemon and Yugioh without having me shadow him and helping him with all the math. He says it is embarrasing to have mom around during the tournaments helping with the math stuff. Carolyn Re: ADD and ADHD?? > -NO, he is not autisitc. Guest guest
> Hi, I am wondering if anyone on this list has their kids on the enzymes for ADD or ADHD only. If so, does enzymes help ADD kids? Usually, especially No-Fenol enzyme. >>I just started him on the enzymes yesterday and today he has had the runs all day. Which enzymes? > > I also put my 7 year old son on them because he seems to suffer from allergies so bad. He has a chronic stuffy nose and dark circles under his eyes. This afternoon, I noticed he does not have a stuffed up nose. He has had a stuffed up nose for ever! I hope it is the enzymes helping him in that area. This is what happened to me personally. Very nice. Dana
