Always weigh all your info. I have learned so much from lists, but

all lists have good ideas and bad ideas, lists are made of individual

people after all. It is difficult to figure out what is good and what

is bad, but worth it.

Enzymes and chelation did that for my son. Keep reading and weighing

your info, you will find your answer.

I can only speak for the 1 DAN! Dr. that I've worked with, but he

recommended that I join this group and consider Houstin's enzymes.

My son has been GFCF plus many other limitations for over 2 years and

new food sensitivities kept cropping up so he thought I should

consider another approach. He certainly doesn't have all the

answers - my son is 5 and still has only limited verbal and social

abilities - but the Dr. treats me like a partner in planning

interventions for my son.

It gets rather disgusting how controversial and ugly this whole autism thing

gets. I agree that it can be all about the money at times. I think that is why

vaccines are so prolific now. Congratulations on standing up to them. You sound

like my kind of parent. Half information of misinformation is the same as lying,

and when it comes to a child's welfare it is damn near criminal. Shame on them.

Re: Re: Does anyone recommend going to a DAN doctor?

Ok, I had to reply. Last month I went to a conference to hear McCandless

and T.Binstock speak. I cornered the woman from Hopewell, I believe her name

was

Maureen O something. She basically told me that it was a " political "

thing, she had issues with Devin's products because of Pangborn but

wouldn't go into much detail. I pulled out 's book and she had the

gall to say that there wasn't even proof that 's kids were autistic

to begin with. (COME ON!!!) Finally after badgering her (she was

getting uncomfortable with my persistence and she wanted to go have

lunch), she just came out and said that enzymes may indeed work for some

kids. I also cornered Binstock and another woman who worked for

Hopewell. This woman said that she'd heard all kinds of good things

about kids on Houston's but that's not what " they " were about.

There is a song, and I can't recall off the top of my head who it is by, but

every day Jojo improves it reminds me of him. " I can see clearly now the rain

is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way. All of the bad feelings have

disappeared. It's gonna be a bright bright beautiful day. " Those are just the

lines I remember. Despite all the DX you persevered. You are a classy lady and

I admire your calm when responding to those like Dr. McCandless who may or may

not have a hidden agenda.

Re: Does anyone recommend going to a DAN doctor?

>>>> Ok, you may have a point about her kids being undx'd,

Actually my kids have been diagnosed a number of times. Which one

would you like? The one that said was ADD at school but not

at home? The one that said he certainly acted autistic so please

take him to the children's habilitation center? The one that said it

was just allergies? That one that said he was extraordinarily gifted

and that quirkiness was a part of that? The one that said he was

neurologically odd? The school testing that came back saying he

qualified for both the gifted and talented program, as well as the

special ed remedial at the same time and they simply didn't know how

to place that type of person? The one that said he could qualify for

an assortment of things and which diagnosis would I like?

I won't even get into the issues with Younger Son as it would extend

another paragraph and 2 inches of medical records.

But fortunately enzymes are not dependent on diagnosis and that is

very nice because people are not excluded. The only reason kids are

being attacked by adults who claim they care about kids is because

the adults are THAT desperate and cannot justify what they are doing

or saying.
