Yesterday there was a big article in my newspaper mentioning all about

different

stimulants and how studies are coming up about kids brains, that children

with

ADHD have smaller brains than say than mainstream type of kids and that these

stimulants, with much study going on, that kids taking them younger may

improve

the brain and increase their brain size, say where the problem is somewhere

in the

brain where there is difficulty. The newspaper mentioned that scientist are

studing this and that parents shouldn't be so afraid of stimulants for they

can help in this way. I believe it mentioned about that kids with ADHD have

a 3 to 4 percent decrease of their brain and the stimulants inhance it

through time when using it. Thats why many High School kids don't take

stimulants because their brains may have been developed more and the use of

it is no longer needed. Now I don't know how true this is but the article

sure caught my eye indeed!!! Anyway, thats what I read and some of it may be

true and some of it may not be, but my son with ADHD,

and with PDD needs it for school right now and it does help him. I really

like to hear some good news about meds, especially when so many kids are on

them.

Pretty interesting I must say. Their are many kids who have become honor

students when taking stimulants. Well shoot me if you want guys but I'm only

repeating what I read yesterday and its still good to hear some good news

about meds.
