Guest guest
Hi, I am and I have a 2.9 year old son, Noah, who is not autistic but has sensory intergration dysfunction with auditory, vestibular, and proprioceptive componets. He is very hypersenstive to crying and reacts by covering his ears and having a total meltdown although he tries to cope. He has central auditory processing disorder with receptive and expressive language delay. He does understand almost everything and is saying single words, usually unclearly though. We are on a dairy free diet and started lactobacillus acid. this week. I plan on starting epsom salt baths next week followed by Pro -EFA oils... and then what. OUr homeopathic doc, which I don't know how much I trust him stated he was " allergic " to milk, pork, tomatoes, corn, and yeast. Well, that's seems like everything - we tried it for a while with no noticed changes... so we stopped it after a skin test from an allergist showed no food allergies. I think no-fenol would be our first step? I have been reading some of the posts and I am so confused as to what to do - I am feeling very overwhelmed all over again - like i did when he was dx with SID. W has been helping me some with questions, but what can I do together how long do i wait to start, what dose.. Noah doesn't seem to have " bad " reactions like I have read to foods like other children, but I want him to start talking and become less sensitive to noise. If anyone truely knows... I am ordering Children With Starving Brains today, does that explain this stuff? Do I really need to do enzymes? Help? I am lost, but I want to help NOah but not over do things. Thank you for letting me be a part of your/our group. H( mom to NOah 2.9 sid, speech delay, capd) and LUke (3 months old)
