Hi ,

You know, I have been worrying about B12 and B1 for a few weeks now. My high

functioning child -- can't tell her from other kids and she is gifted-- has a

bunch of pains here and there. She has sciatica, pains in her legs, etc.

I got the B12 shots to give my daughter and she just plain refused. No bribe

would budge her. I am also considering the Allithiamine patches to get more

B1 into her. I wonder if there may be a better way to get the B1 and B12

into her. I am upping all of her B Vitamins and will keep the List posted on

any results.

Do you have any ideas?

Hi

My doctor friend uses it on her daughter and I am about to have my grandson

checked for using it. You can get it from Coastal Compounding in Savannah,

GA. I think Dr. McCandless prescribes this too.

Hi ,

Yes, my daughter has/had low HCL. We have had her on Super Digestaway from

Soleray (has HCL plus panacreatic and other enzymes) for at least 2 years

now. Whenever we stop she begins to have very loud burps. It seems like she

really needs it. A doctor recommended it initially and that really helped.

I need to see how I can get B12 and B1 into her without injections. I have

been searching on the web, but nothing so far.

We use transdermal B-12. Have you considered that?

Hi -

No, unfortunately no ideas other than wondering if his low B12 if

from low HCL and if I should supp that. Do you know if your daughter

has low stomach acid?

I will look into that B12 transdermal that Ann mentioned.

Let me know how your daughter does.

Actually, now that I think about it, I really wouldn't have to worry

about HCL as long as he's taking enzymes, right?

Hi-- don't know if this article will help you, but thought I'd post

it just in case.

Weirdly enough my pastor visited the house to ask my husband to something and

talked about B-12. Turns out his friend had a B12 deficiency. It resulted

in him having pain and needed a cane and stuff.

Turned out that there was a bacteria in the stomach of his friend (well, he

SAID stomach but he might have meant anywhere in the abdomen as he is not

medically oriented, this guy) which inhibited the uptake of B12, resulting in

this pain.

Just some info.

Also, just to mention this although you may have ruled it out. It may be

bad constipation. Also, I get pains in my back/legs during menstruation

or just previous, but you don't say how old your daughter is.

Lack of magnesium can cause leg pain, too.

Maybe she just hates the shots themselves?
