It's actually more like a ketchup consistency that comes in packets like fast food ketchup. I squirt one right into his mouth every morning. He hated it at first but opens wide now. Currently using Epsom salt, two to three cups in a warm bath. Others add Sea salt and baking soda. It is great for detoxifying as well as relaxing. Guest guest
MJH Does your son get the cranial sacral therapy at a spa?? The therapist touched my head a few times and it felt wonderful. Many years ago(36 yrs ago) My mom did not know where to turn. For there was not much available for epilepsy back then. She sent me to a lady who touched my back with her hands and began to burp each time. I guess that was to take toxins out of the body I dont know. I was scared since I was only nine or ten at the time. Found it weird. But maybe my mom was on to something at the time. But they never went back. I just found it impossible to touch someone and take toxins out of the body. > In a message dated 4/18/05 5:48:28 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > writes: > > > Date: Sun, 17 Apr 2005 07:40:33 -0400 > > From: " CL Muscat " <lindybuzz@h...> > > Subject: RE: Re: Milk Thistle > > > > I work with a shiatsu massage therapist and it really is wonderful as a > > detoxifier and a stress reliever. Guest guest
I felt tingling all night in my back like the therpist was still touching me. That was so amazing. She said it was sort of like a chinese chiropractor??? As I child I was seizure free for nine months off of meds also. I went to a chiropractor every week. I had seizure after I went to an amusement park and got wipped around with my neck. I never wanted to go back since I was a child crying that nothing worked because I had that seizure. I think I am going back to get the massage at least every month and see how it works. Also a salt bath every week at least. Guest guest
To the person that was asking about pain and fibro:? I am 54 and I am getting scoliosis films and MRI now and will see a neurosurgeon when that is done.? About 15 years ago I saw an ortho who was supposed to be a scoliosis specailist.? He said that adult curves do not increase and that I was not a candidate for surgery.? Therefore, I have not been to a doctor for scoliosis since that time and have not had surgery.? I'm sure that?my curves have progressed.? I work full-time and cannot take medicine that interferes with my thinking, so I use alternative methods.? The most effective I have found is deep tissue massage which releases my tight muscles and reduces spasms.? Also, exercise.? It is only temporary, but it helps me so much.? I also have fibro.? If you have that, I really recommend that you see a rheumatologist that works with this disease.? It is a very confusing condition and if you have it, you really need someone who understands your situation and can help you.? You need support for this.? ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever. Guest guest
Hi , I made that same mistake. When I had x-rays done 3 yrs ago, my doctor's office called and said I would need an MRI. I really thought that no one would do surgery on me. In early 2007, I was in such pain I begged my doctor to order and MRI. With that I went to a neurosurgeon who said she could help me but it would make the stablilty of my spine worse. She sent me to a spinal surgeon. By this time, I was using a TENS machine everyday to keep the pain down. When I finally met the doctor who did my surgery, the x-rays I brought were 3 years old and the curve was 38 degrees. I pointed out the age of the x-rays and they sent me for new x-rays showing that the curve had progressed to 54 degrees in 3 yrs. I surgery on Sept 10 and after 40 yrs of back pain, I am now pretty much pain free. Beverly from OH > > To the person that was asking about pain and fibro:? Guest guest
Dear , Your physician must not have been a scoli specialist to tell you that scoli doesn't progress. It does! Scoli surgery is reserved for those with serious curves, usually over 60 degrees, but some people choose to have the surgery earlier before it gets that bad. Braces for scoli have not been found very beneficial except in the young, who have curves that aren't that severe yet. Braces never stopped my pain, so I don't think they are much of an option, except, as I said, for teens. Since you are exercising, please remember to bend twice as much into your curve as to the other side. This DOES decrease the sizes of curves and slows progression if the exercises are done 3-4 days a week at least. Fibro is often related by patients with scoli. But, I think it would be wise if you looked into the symptoms of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease. Scoli and fibro are often part of the CMTD. Maybe someone here can post a link her for you to find a scoli specialist in your area. You definitely need someone other than the one you saw! In my opinion, he was a quack.
