Can be very helpful, or can cause hyper. Don't you just love that kind of

answer -NOT. It was originally in the HNI as L-Glutamine, some thought it may

cause hyper so Devin removed it. In our case the hyper was related to yeast

die off not the glutamine, may have been so with some others too.

You want to take glutamine on an empty stomach. So... no need for the enzymes.

(not sure why you take it for... hypoglycemia?? leaky gut?)

says here to strengthen the cell lining in the small and large intestines,

providing metabolic fuel for the gut cells, brain cells and immune macrophages

and lymphocytes.

Just didn't now if this was something that would be useful for her. You're

probably right then, on an empty stomach so it won;t interfere with enzymes.

Glutamine is useful for many things... It can help fix a leaky gut, it's very

effective for depression, but there are people who cannot tolerate it, even if

they need it:

hypoadrenal people and people with yeast overgrowth (at least this is all I

know).

So just remember, in case you give it to your daughter, and she doesn't feel

better. I think (I am not sure) that for hypoadrenal people the effect will be

somnolence (during

the day), and for people with yeast overgrowth - headaches (from ammonia).

My understanding is that glutamine is very good BUT it can increase

uptake not only of nutrients but also of toxins, so it isw best to

wait until yeast problems etc have been minimised.

Is this correct?

I am very keen to use glutamine to heal my son's leaky gut, alleviate

hypoglycemia and imrpove his absoption of food and supplments, but he

has a yeast problem and I think we ought to get that under control

first
