My 6 year old daughter is not able to take most supplements, but I

really would like to add selenium, zinc and iodine to see if it

helps. I could purchase them separately, which I may end up doing,

but wanted to get some opinions on this Minineral

Supplementation...it includes: calcium (125mg), iron (2mg),Magnesium

(60mg),Zinc (7mg), Iodine (10mcg), Manganese (300mcg),Selenium

(25mcg),Chromium (30mcg),Molybdenum (5mcg), and Boron (500mcg)

The only thing that concerns me a little bit, since we're on the

Feingold Diet, is that it doesn't list in the " Does not contain "

section, artificial flavor, yet I don't see anything that would tell

me there's any artificial flavors.

I think she'll get enough of anything lacking in the above mineral

complex in her diet (hopefully), but thought this would be a good

start since she can't take other supplements with certain B vitamins

without hyperactivity.

I'll also supplement Vit C (250mg), Vit E(100 IU),Hypoallergenic B12

(6mcg)with Folic Acid (400 mcg)

Is this a good start? I really want to supplement her diet even

though she has a good diet as I believe we can always use a little

more (our diets can only give us so much).....plus, I believe

has a good point about supplementing selenium, zinc, and Iodine (I

don't know how much would be optimal for my 40lb daughter, but I

thought this would be a good start. All of the women in my family

have had Thyroid issues from my great grandmother down to me so

far. Mine was hyperthyroidism and took about a year before I felt

really good. It's amazing to me how the Thyroid has such a huge

impact on our bodies!

There's so much to learn....thank you for any suggestions! :)
