Guest guest
Hi I'm not using it yet but I did get a sample to try when I ordered my DMSA. I'm going to try it out over half term when I can watch him closely, the staff in his new class are no where near as descriptive as they were in early years class in the home-school daily diary. I'm looking at the data sheet now to compare with what Andy C would normally recommend. For sure there is good range in there, kind of like BCN but without the herbs. Andy recommends 4 x daily dosing I would need more time to figure out but on a quick look I'd likely still add to it, at least on chelating days. Sam's diet is still quite limited so I do still supplement quite alot although only a little B complex. Milk Thistle is one that jumps out as having to add as extra. Worth a shot, whilst I can keep track of all the separates Dh gets completely lost, so this would would help in out house. I'll let you know how we get on. Guest guest
Three days of Spectrum Complete and I'm about to pull my hair out. Multi's make her crazy. Any other brand ideas?
Guest guest
Hi Shonna-- gosh, the only thing I can think of is to perhaps start supplementing things individually and work up-- definitely start a gut protocol-- as I sent you in my last msg, it could be yeast... but you could start trying just some magnesium citrate-- I think you're already doing EFA's and enzymes and epsom salt baths, right? Maybe just try adding a little magnesium into her routine-- magnesium SHOULD have a calming effect. With Ethan, he had that initial hyperness but over time, with working on the gut AND going slow AND using Ojibwa Tea of Life, then his body was able to accept more supplements. I really do think the Ojibwa Tea of Life was what cleaned out enough toxins so that when I started supplements again-- he didn't have that hyper reaction anymore. He still doesn't take large amounts of supp's, but there was a dramatic change in his ability to tolerate them once we had been on the tea for a while. So you might want to try that www.ojibwatea.com W > Three days of Spectrum Complete and I'm about to pull my hair out. > Multi's make her crazy. Any other brand ideas? I wasn't gonna say anything...but...I have heard this often enough, and it may be more common with those having phenol difficulties. So this may be related to a phenol processing issue, or those more 'toxic'. >>>Any other brand ideas? Animal Parade seems to be fairly well tolerated (and one of the few that I think taste good). At health food stores. Or try Freeda Vitamins. They are ultra 'pure' and have a children's line. That brand is super popular with the Feingold group - I mention that because the Feingold program is for those who are phenol-sensitive, and those people appear to tolerate Freeda well. www.freedavitamins.com . Guest guest
-Hi , I use Spectrum Complete for my son with good results. I did start off with the full dose, and then cut it back to half the daily dose because of some " weepy, whiny " behavior. In the past, ALL multi- vitamins, SuperNuThera, chewables, gummis, exacerbated these behaviors. For about two days now, I've upped the dose by a 1/4 tsp, which brings him close to the recommendation. So far, so good. I do give him a bit of No-phenol with his morning concoction though, so maybe this helps balance him out also. I've gotten good reports from school these past few weeks, even to the point of better co- operation during math time. A biggie for him, to be sure! We don't chelate at this time so I can't help with that. But for now at least, we'll stay with the Spectrum Complete as part of his daily supps. Hope this helps. Hey, that's a good idea! Put a little No-Fenol with it and maybe that will balance out whatever phenol-thing maybe going on. Thanks, Kim, . Guest guest
For my son, any multivitamin with a high dose of B6 made him super hyper. I now use Yummi Bears. 4 of them give you only 50% of most of the vitamins, which I think is a safe route for us now. And then I give extra of the vitamins I think he could use which wouldn't put him over the edge. Debbie

So this may be related to a phenol processing issue, or those more 'toxic'. You are probably right...I will check out the Freeda vits. I remember you mentioning this before now. Probaby we would run into the same troubles we wound up having with SNT...it started right before enzymes (probably phenolic since that all started at the same time...) then the vitB was too much with enzymes. I just want to get my ducks in a row prior to trying chelation. (always preferring that you DO say something lol...even if its in a private email!!) - - In , " jornmatt <kjorn@t...> " <kjorn@t...> wrote: > >>>> Three days of Spectrum Complete and I'm about to pull my hair > out. Guest guest
Hey, that's a good idea! Put a little No-Fenol with it and maybe that will balance out whatever phenol-thing maybe going on. Yes, this had worked with other things...NF wasn't out yet when we discontinued the SNT, but we have since reintroduced TMG which she seemed to have developed phenolic issues with and she has been great on that at a much smaller dose than before. I will still look into Freeda though I think.... --- In , " jornmatt <kjorn@t...> " <kjorn@t...> wrote: > >>>I do give him a bit of No-phenol with his morning concoction > though, so maybe this helps balance him out also. > > Hey, that's a good idea! Guest guest
-Don't give a multivitamin. Maybe she just doesn't need one. Isn't it pretty much necessary for chelation though? This is why I am thinking about it. We don't use one now. I am afraid I'd get lost trying to add them all one at a time. -- In , " danaatty <danaatty@y...> " <danaatty@y...> wrote: > > > Three days of Spectrum Complete and I'm about to pull my hair out. > > Multi's make her crazy. Not in my opinion. But of course you can have a different opinion =) I don't give my kids any multi-vitamins, and we are on round 53. They are all doing great. I do ensure they get some amount of vitamin C with each dose of chelator, it is included in the cal/mag/zinc I use. Dana
