DHA has been found to be a " brain builder " in some studies. I believe it is found in breastmilk and has been added to infant formulas in Europe for some time. On the other hand, Dr. Stoll has successfully treated bipolar adults with fish oils containing high levels of EPA relative to DHA and there is speculation that this may be significant relative to autism. And some don't > even have GLA or AA. If I need to ask another group > please piont me in the right direction. > These are Omega-6 fatty acids and hence are not included in most Omega-3 supplements. Some products are mixtures of both, so you need to read the labels. I myself have settled on dosages for my child by sort of triangulating between the Kirkman and Brainchild websites (which I happen to trust) and the dosage recommended on the bottle of whatever I bought. My son's stools get loose if I overdo it, so we have a built-in regulator. [The exception here is Cod Liver Oil which is high in vit A and can be toxic in very large doses.] HTH --
