I'm not sure that there is a " correct " answer to your question. DHA

has been found to be a " brain builder " in some studies. I believe it

is found in breastmilk and has been added to infant formulas in

Europe for some time. On the other hand, Dr. Stoll has

successfully treated bipolar adults with fish oils containing high

levels of EPA relative to DHA and there is speculation that this may

be significant relative to autism.

And some don't

These are Omega-6 fatty acids and hence are not included in most

Omega-3 supplements. Some products are mixtures of both, so you need

to read the labels.

I myself have settled on dosages for my child by sort of

triangulating between the Kirkman and Brainchild websites (which I

happen to trust) and the dosage recommended on the bottle of whatever

I bought. My son's stools get loose if I overdo it, so we have a

built-in regulator. [The exception here is Cod Liver Oil which is

high in vit A and can be toxic in very large doses.] HTH
