Do you have any recommendations? He usually has light colored stools - like a tan color and softly formed. He will still have the occasional bout of mushy stools. But he also has days when his stools are perfect - brown and formed. Even back before I started the GFCF diet (it's been 8 wks now) - when he was on pep, zp, & no fenol (briefly) -he would have perfect stools after I gave him culturelle. thanks for your help! I need it!!
Guest guest
, My sons stools always get lighter when we have a yeast flare up. They get softer also. My sons stools are always a great indicator of how he is feeling. If he is rammy and irritable I will usually see an inferior stool and his butt is red also so that is my Q to give a dose of GSE and Biocidin. His stools also improved when we added the no-fenol and went off the gf/cf diet with the HNI enzymes. We have been on all regular foods since last April with great results. Guest guest
> He usually has light colored stools - like a tan color For my kids, their bms were light on gfcf, but as soon as I was able to add back gluten, they darkened. So might be just the lack of gluten, because that is what it was for my kids. > he was on pep, zp, & no fenol (briefly) -he would have perfect > stools after I gave him culturelle. Then he might have a continuing yeast and/or bacteria issue http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Dana
Guest guest
, Yes I do notice a nasty smell with yeasty BM's. We were gf/cf soy free for almost a year and on enzymes for ALL food while on the diet for 7 of those months before we decided to try going off the diet. I think my son did a lot of healing with the enzymes while on the diet and we used Biocidin, GSE and saccharomyces boullardii for yeast on a really intense scedule for 4 months. My sons yeast is so bad that we still have issues with it but not as bad. He also had clostridium. Yes maybe chelation may help with your dietary issues. I am hoping someday to chelate enough that we no longer need so many enzymes. I have to give my son a lot but to me it is worth it. Good luck.
