Guest guest
Hi, My 3-year old son takes enteric-coated sulfasalazine pills for his ulcerative colitis. He also takes plant enzymes with every meal. Should I be concerned about having him take the sulfasalazine and enzymes hours apart? (No gastroenterologist can tell me, 'cause they don't know much about plant enzymes). I am wondering about the plant enzymes, with their wide pH spectrum, destroying the enteric coating, and the sulfasalazine not being deposited in the intestines where it is needed.
