Guest guest Posted January 1, 2003 Report Share Posted January 1, 2003 mineral iron is not the form the body naturally takes it in....it is highly reactive and oxidising... haem iron which is the red in meat is the best scource exp liver which is just loaded with it i think you can get passivated iron supplements though, you just want to avoid mineral forms boys apprently need a lot less iron than girls... zinc is very important for the body to defeat fungal infections like yeast and tinea.... i have had tinea for several months now and topical applications of canestan etc have had no effect but taking about three 50 mg capsules of zinc picolinate over a week are clearing it up.
