Guest guest
tea tree is an essential oil. You can buy it at some health stores....Whole Foods has it, sometimes Day Spas carry it....just the best stuff ever! I use especially to get rid of the yeast infections too...at least it keeps it in check! good luck - it shouldn't be too hard to find...but you want to be sure to make certain that it is pure essential oil...not a blend with someother oil. debby Re: [ ] Help with allergies wHAT IS TEA TREE..i'LL TRY ALMOST ANYTHING <g>
Guest guest
Hi, I was just looking t6hrough my emails and this sparked my interest,i use a lot of aromatherapy to supplement different meds,i can't seem to find the original email, what are you recommending tea tree for?i know it as a brilliant oil,it has many benifits,i've never thought of using it for anything AIH related.Do you use a lot of aromatherapy?i'd be interested in any that you find helpful, maybe i haven't thought of them yet,for instance along with my anti emetic medication i use peppermint, orange or rose essential oil for nausea,i've found aromatherapy to be a incredible tool in helping with various symptoms, the fact that its all completely natural and has only pluses ,no possible downsides for me means that i have been free to try different combinations with my drs whole hearted support, here some hospitals use aromatherapy along with meds now to help chemotherapy patients with nausea.anyway, hehe i wasnt writing to extoll the virtues of aromatherapy, was just wondering if you or anyone else uses it and what symptoms you use it for. Guest guest
Amber, I use a lot of aromatherapy....actually, daily! I got started when my son died and we were going through litigation, etc, and just through the grief process. I swear by it! For me, I have found that I naturally am drawn to the oils that my body needs. For instance, when I am having a problem with excessive stomach problems, I gravitate to the peppermint. If I have the colds, etc, I am drawn to the eucalyptus and pine oils, and sometimes spruce in the burner/difuser. Then, if I need to relax, I use the lavender. I keep lavender and tea tree oils on my bathroom sink all the time. I carry lavender all the time with me. They are the two staples in my cupboard. Then, in the AM and PM, I put one or two drops on insence in my face cream. It truly has helped with the fine lines, etc. I think it has helped to keep the wrinkles away or at least it does help keep the moisture in my face. Can't hurt anyway. Then for the athlete's foot problem....well, I mix sandlewood/frankinsence/in some jojaba oil or some other carrier oil. It works wonders. Heck, I swear by the stuff! For yeast infections, I mix lavender oil and tea tree oil in a carrier oil and use it on the areas where I have problems with the yeast infections externally. They keep the itching in check. For AIH, I have found when my skin starts itching badly, that some tea tree oil in a carrier oil works wonders to stop the itching. Just plain tea tree oil is a natural antibiotic so it also helps the scratches heal much faster. My daughter and I both use it on pimples. Much cheaper than cleocin-T or clearasil! At least it is for me!!!!! Well, then at night, I put lavender oil with blue cammomile oil behind my knees to help with sleep. I also rub it under my nose and also on my wrist and inner elbows. It truly does help to relax and fall alseep quickly. I also sprinkle it on my pillow or on the bed linens to keep the aroma going! If I feel like it, I will burn in my difuser some lavender also to add to the room fragrance! BUT the best part of the aromatherapy, is that it helps with the disinfection of the air. AND it smells better too! I like that totally! I use it at school - use Lemon and spray it around the room like an aresol and it has cut down on the illnesses in the class and for me as well! (At least the colds so far) Also, when I have used the difuser in my class, I usuallu use orange and the class on a whole is calmed down by the fragrance. It has been tried at different places in studies, and the aroma does calm down the people in the room-whereever it is used...at least that is what the studies have shown. Well, I have probablly bored most of you all with my little bit of information of aromatherapy....I just know that for me it is wonderful! Maybe I am not totally healthy, but I am convinced for me that it has helped me in some areas of my health! PS...the orange/citrus flavors also have a tendency to add a sheen to your wooden furniture too....there are just unlimited uses for this stuff! debby Re: [ ] Help with allergies>>> wHAT IS TEA TREE..i'LL TRY ALMOST ANYTHING <g>>>
Guest guest
I've been lurking for a while, getting information about chelating my son. I did hear a tip about handling seasonal allergies, although I haven't tried it myself since I don't suffer from them. Someone recommended purchasing local honey and eating a teaspoon daily. The local bees include the local pollen in their honey, creating a natural allergy treatment specific to the region. Find a farmer's market or ask a local co-op for the name of a local beekeeper. Worth a shot! in North Carolina
