Instead, when I'm wearing long pants, where the material touches the kneecap it feels as if there is a loose thread sticking out against the kneecap or a little rough spot in the material. But there isn't any thread or rough spot. The wind or the water in the shower has a similar effect. I told my doctor and he wasn't concerned. It has largely gone away as my knee improves. To add to my prior attempt, I don't consider this to be something to be alarmed about, but I do consider this to be a sign that my knee is not normal and I need to continue to rehab it. I think that one of the best ways to avoid further damaging our knees is to be hypersensitive to how they feel and act accordingly. So even though it's been a while since my knee has been actually *painful* I still pay attention to the little things which show that it is not completely well. ( My right knee seems to have recovered completely, I'm still nursing along my left knee, which is close to normal. Also, how soon after mercury exposure is it safe to start DMSA or DMPS? This is not an academic question. I would really appreciate advice on this. I have a mercury-toxic friend badly hurt by some bogus chelation (IV DMPS followed by 100mg ALA 2 times daily, plus cilantro) and I am afraid he is about to go and make things even worse.
