Guest guest
Keratosis pilaris is a common skin condition sometimes called " chicken skin " and is often confused with allergies, eczema or acne. While it may occur in concert with those conditions, it is not related. To date, it is estimated that 50% or more of the world's population has KP in one form or another. KP is physically harmless, which is one reason many people are not aware of it, let alone the name and its treatments. Still, while KP remains physically harmless, it can manifest as an unsightly condition many would prefer to do without. There is no cure for KP, but fortunately, there exists a wealth of simple, affordable and effective treatments. http://www.dermstore.com/features/KP/kpinfo.php Donna > > > Can someone explain what chicken skin is? Guest guest
My sister had a friend that had some bumps that did not go away on her skin. Her doctor recognized it and asked her if she ate a lot of cheese and dairy. She said yes, she craves cheese and eats tons of it to snack on. He told her to stop because she was building up too much calcium and it was accumulating in her skin. Thanks, Rae Not Dana, but n's arm bumps reduced by about 80% after a 3-month course of Virastop. I've finally got a fish oil he tolerates so I'm waiting to see if that gets the rest of them.
