Guest guest
Hope you don't mind me asking this but I saw you post that you were a dentist. My 15 yr old needs to have a frenoctomy (lingual). I have taken her to a periodontist and says it will be $1200 for lingual and the one on the upper lip in front of teeth. He uses a scalpel and says there will be stitches involved. When I went to my reg DDS (Holistic..metal free) last week I spoke with the nurse. She said my DDS has recently received the laser that does this and asked if I wanted to have the Doc look at it. She said he had done one last week for $250...thats a lot cheaper than the other estimate. My question is ...is this an area that should only be touched by a perio or could a reg DDS do this? I know there are salivary glands under there but what else should we be aware of? Thanks for an input Sherry
