Guest guest
Hi, Is there anyone on this list who is chelating a child with ADHD or Asperger Syndrome? I have a son who is almost 9 with ADHD combined type and a daughter 6 with Asperger Syndrome, my doctor does not think that I should try chelation as they are both so high functioning. However chelation is that only thing that I have yet to hear of that can help them get " better " all the other stuff seems to be focused on helping them deal with their conditions but not to actually improve those conditions. Or am I barking up the wrong tree here? Is chelation only effective for the more sever forms of autism and should I just count myself blessed and focus on social stories and behavior modification? As my doctor is not supporting my decision to try chelation, this is also really limiting my choices to what I can buy over the counter. I am leaning towards using oral ALA as it seems to get the mercury and lead from the body and the brain and seems (besides yeast) to have fewer negative side effects. But I am still in the early stages of reading and learning and it seems that every document I read contradicts most of what I have read previously leaving me very confused. lgrharmom@... __________________________________________________
