Guest guest
FYI-I heard someone say that zinc monomethionine, otherwise known as OptiZinc caused their 6 year old son to develop increased facial and pubic hair. I had at first thought this was an anomoly. I did a Google search and found an article that talked about zinc monomethionine raising testosterone levels. Given what has recently surfaced about testosterone binding mercury, I thought it might be something to think about. This article did not have a link I could send here, but if you google zinc mono you will find it on the first page. I had originally thought of switching from the zinc citrate that we use to OptiZinc, but I think I will wait awhile. If anyone has any further information on this, I would appreciate the sharing. Guest guest
I don't suspect the zinc to be the cause of the hair growth. When I was taking methionine I noticed my eyebrows growing in faster. The area I plucked showed up too quickly and some of my eyebrow hairs grew too long I had to trim them. I suspect the NAC to do this a little but not as much as the methionine. I never had a problem with this with the zinc. If you suspect the zinc. Then the zinc must be increasing that amino acid in the body that stimulates hair growth. Suspecting the methionine and NAC. Just from my experience. Cut back on the zinc or leave it alone or take it periodically.
