Guest guest
Hey all- I was just wondering where anyone actually gets I Can Eat That pizza crusts on the peninsula. I've been to their website and seen the list of retailers but haven't had any luck with any of them so far. I've been to Draeger's in San Mateo (shelf spot in freezer but its been empty/had something else there for 3 weeks. They do have the breads) and Menlo Park (no shelf spot, only had breads) and Piazza's in San Mateo (no shelf spot, only had breads). Where does anyone reliably get them before I start driving farther and farther (I'm in San Mateo)? Thanks! ps-thanks to everyone who was supportive after my intro post about non-celiac gluten-intolerant folks using the list. I have gotten a vibe on some other celiac groups that the folks who were actual diagnosed celiac's felt that simple 'gluten-intolerance' was a lesser condition that should find its own group. Glad to know its not the case here though sometimes I still feel like a bit of an 'imposter' __________________________________________________
Guest guest
My understanding, from reading what papers there are and from talking with as many “experts” and sufferers as I can, is that “Classic Celiac Disease” is just one form of the disease. Perhaps it is even true that celiac disease with the flattening/destructioin of the villi and extreme malnourishment to the point of emaciation is an end state like stroke is an end state of high blood pressure and gangrene is an end state of diabetes. We all need support as we eat so very differently from the usual Standard American Diet. Guest guest
I haven't checked recently, but Spica cafe on Castro street in Mountain View(close to Starbucks) carries " I Can Eat that " frozen bread and sometimes pizza crust. You could search them out on google and give them a call to check... This is the only place I've bought " I can eat that " stuff. You can also get a GF sandwich and baked goods at the coffee shop. (the baked goods are limited) > > Hey all- > I was just wondering where anyone actually gets I Can > Eat That pizza crusts on the peninsula.
